For Pakistani male candidates who have finished their intermediate education, the Pakistan Marine Academy (PMA) has announced the Join Merchant Navy after 12th 2024 PMA Admission 63rd. The following information is available:

Eligibility Criteria:

• Nationality: Only nationals of Pakistan may submit an application. Applicants from Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, AJK, and FATA are also welcome to apply.
• Gender and Marital Status: Only single male Pakistani citizens are eligible to apply.
• Age Limit: As of December 31, 2024, candidates must be no older than 20 years old; candidates from FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan, AJK, and Balochistan must be no older than 21 years old.
• Educational requirements: Pre-engineering HSSC pass applicants or O/L level candidates with 55% in math, physics, and chemistry are eligible. A Hope Certificate1 may also be used to apply by those who are awaiting their results.

Scholarships:

• The Ministry of Maritime Affairs is the sponsor of 33 need-based scholarships in total. Here is the distribution:

Selection process for Pak Navy Jobs :

There are multiple steps in the PMA 63rd selection process:

• admission Exam: Applicants are required to take an admission exam covering English, mathematics, physics, and chemistry. Their ability and expertise are evaluated in the test.
• Medical Examination: Those who make the short list are subjected to a comprehensive medical examination to make sure they are in good enough physical and mental health to serve in the merchant navy.
• Interview: Those who pass the entrance exam and the physical examination are invited to an interview. The interview panel assesses the candidate’s personality, communication abilities, and fit for a career in maritimes.
• Final Merit List: A final merit list is created based on the applicant’s combined performance in the entrance exam, medical exam, and interview. Candidates are chosen based on where they rank on this list.

How to Apply for Pak Navy jobs?

1. The prospectus and application form are available from PMA Head Office and on the organization’s official website, www.marineacademy.edu.pk.
2. Candidates must deposit a pay order or bank draft for Rs. 3500 at the Pakistan Marine Academy NBP Branch (Code 0293).
3. Candidates using self-financing must submit a payment order or bank draft for Rs. 300,000 in order to be considered.
4. Should candidates be chosen on the basis of open merit, the self-finance cost is refunded.
5. The National Testing Service will administer entrance exams in Karachi, Sukkur, Lahore, Multan, Muzaffarabad, Peshawar, Abbottabad, Quetta, Gwadar, and AJK.
6. Candidates must receive 45% of the possible points to pass the entrance exam.
7. The CMH/PNS will host the candidates’ medical examination.
8. The application deadline is September 6, 2024.

What are the physical fitness requirements for PMA?

Depending on the course, different physical fitness levels are needed to enroll in the Pakistan Marine Academy (PMA). The following are the minimal requirements:

• Height (Minimum):
  • Male: 5’ 4″ (162.5 cm)
  • Female: 5’ (152.4 cm)
• Vision Standard (Male/Female):
  • Distance vision with glasses: 6/9, 6/12
  • Near vision: J2, J7 (with or without glasses) or N8, N12
• Weight:
  • As per the body mass index (BMI)

  • Run (1.6 km) within 8 minutes
